Vision

The Philippine Model United Nations Association is committed to uniting, empowering, and serving the MUN community in the Philippines by fostering collaboration, excellence, and inclusivity.

PHMUNA envisions a dynamic and inclusive MUN community in the Philippines that cultivates globally minded individuals and organizations, fosters meaningful dialogue, and upholds the principles of the United Nations both within simulations and in real-world engagements.

A short story about us

Model United Nations (MUN) in the Philippines has grown for nearly three decades since the country’s first known conference at De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde in 1998. Today, dozens of schools and organizations participate in MUN, but the community remains largely concentrated in private schools and Metro Manila, with limited access for public schools and communities outside Luzon.

PHMUNA was founded in 2017 by college students from different universities to build a more connected Philippine MUN community. Originally the Philippine Model United Nations Community, it became the Philippine MUN Association, Inc. (PHMUNA Inc.) after its SEC registration in 2025. Today, PHMUNA works to make MUN more accessible and connect students and organizations across the country.
